Plus code or Open Location Code (OLC) is a short, simple, and easy to use code that represents an address of a location. This code can be used in Google Maps to get directions to the location.

The “+” symbol in plus codes helps Google Search and Google Maps recognize them. When others click on the link shared by you it will open Google Maps and show your location. Hence others don't need the Plus Code Finder app to view plus codes. Plus Codes never change and represent a location as precise as 3m x 3m.
